![]() Also wasting Aeon's time on sending a common thief to a trial is just an absurd - a True Aeon would never bother with doing that, because it doesn't matter. Aeons absolutely do not care about individual matters - and considering they stay on guard of cosmic balance and the logic of the universe, they should never judge a mortal for committing a crime and breaking some laws designed by monarchs, because breaking those laws is in nature of mortals - hence, they act within their own nature. The whole concept of being a cosmic judge who wastes their time on judging some petty thievery is totally against the concept of an Aeon. They ensure that the cosmic balance is preserved - and this is achieved by promoting both sides of the axis (lawful vs chaotic), depending on the situation. While this is not what an Aeon is about - Aeons are not lawful by default. ![]() In the game, you have a couple of Aeon paths, but the "true Aeon", that has the most Aeonic power and influence, requires you to blindly follow the laws and basically act like Valerie on steroids. I definitely enjoyed it much more than Lich, but the more I read about the Aeons themselves and what they are supposed to be, the more I feel that the Aeon path is actually poorly written and the concept of Aeon is just completely misunderstood. I've recently committed to the Aeon playthrough for the first time - and I have to say that mechanically, Aeon is a fun and very strong mythic path that has some amazing moments. ![]() Obviously the whole post is going to be a spoiler, so please use your own discretion whether to read it or not.
